This article describes how to install the Tight VNC package. It is a relatively straight forward process but there a couple of things to look out for. Click image to enlarge. Right HERE click (save target as) to download the package to your desktop. Double click on the Tight VNC icon on your desktop. Follow the installer process accepting the defaults until you get to "Select Additional Tasks" (see below). Tick both (on the following screen - "Select Additional Tasks" ): - Register TightVNC Server as a system service
- Start or restart TightVNC service
You will be asked to fill in a password as VNC needs a default password set. You will need to set a password in both password fields. Do you see a new icon down by your clock, it has a white background and a black 'V'? If you can you have sucessfully installed VNC server. If you have beed asked by an Intercell engineer to install VNC and call back please do so now. Note the domain you will be asked to insert is 'itblokes.com' (without the www).
